SONS OF THUNDER CHRISTIAN MOTORCYCLE CLUB (CMC) GOVERNING BODY AND BY-LAWS Mission Statement

To use our love of riding motorcycles to reach people with the “Love of Jesus”.
Purpose Statement
Our purpose is twofold
1. Fellowship- Based on the Word of God, to encourage and help one another.
2. Outreach- To share the love of Jesus with the community through our words and actions.
 
Belief Statement
1. About God- We believe that God is the creator of all things. That He is one God, manifested in three Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit.
2. About Jesus- Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God was born to the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He was crucified, buried, then on
the third day was resurrected. He ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of God interceding for is as we await His return.
3. About Salvation- We believe that salvation came through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We also believe that to receive the gift of Salvation one must:
a. Admit I am a sinner.
b. Ask God to forgive my sins.
c. Turn my life around (repent).
d. Acknowledge that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
 
4. About the Bible- We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, revealed through the Holy Spirit to man. The Bible is the infallible guide and inspiration for life.
5. About Water Baptism- We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward profession of our commitment to serve Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Baptism is an acknowledgment of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
 
Priorities
Our priorities as members of the Sons of Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club are:
1. God
2. Family
3. Ministry
 
Membership Requirements
A. Members of the Sons of Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club:
1. Must be born again by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. 
2. Attend a Bible based Christ centered church.
3. Be Accountable to the other members of the Sons of Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club.
4. Active patch holders need to be involved in all Ministry activities i.e. Bible Study, Group rides, Outreaches, Fundraisers, etc,
5. Must promote the ministry in a Christian manner at all times.
6. Must own and be legally able to operate a motorcycle.
7. Spouses that are a passenger with their husband and meet all of the above requirements with the exception of number 6 are eligible to become a member.

B. To become a prospective member (prospect) of the Sons of Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club a person must:1. Have been a hang around.. The hang around time will be at the discretion of the leadership. The leaders will ask you to prospect when it’s time.

2. Have an active patch holder sponsor you.

3. Fill out and sign a membership application.

4. Agree to the by-laws and policies of the Sons of Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club in writing.

5. Have your sponsor make it known to the other members at a regular club meeting that you are seeking membership in the Sons of Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club.

6. Be interviewed by the officers at a regular officers meeting.

7. A person must be a prospect for a minimum of, but not limited to 120 days before being eligible for full membership.
